Subject: torque management

i heard someone on here saying that you could remove a wire in going to your pcm that would remove the torque management function and not set a code. any info on this?

thanks for the info but, i'm screwed. i have an 01 r/t and apparently the mod doesn't work for me. if anyone knows the same trick for the 5.9 let me know. thanks again

nope, this is a thing for the 4.7 and 5.7 crowd, the 3.9, 5.2 and 5.9s dont have the same pcm setup

I spoke to FastMan today,while talking I asked him about the cutting of the wire and placing a switch... He said it was the only way to improve shifts as of now because no one made a shift kit for the 45RFE tranny. He also said it worked and does no damage to the Tranny in any way.. slipage causes heat heat kills Auto Tranny`s I plan on doing the mod soon.. I have to many irons in the fire right now.
