Message:
I'm in the market for a new vehicle and my dad and I came across a '94 sport w/5spd. tranny. So i got the number and stuff. We're going to call about it tommrow. On the way home my dad was telling me that I could have the 360 out of his truck to swap into the dakota if I wanted to. My question is what kind of issues would I run into if we did this swap?

Thanks for your help
Vince

I probably should have said that. The 360 is out of a '94 magnum also.

It will swap right in, just need to get a 360 flywheel if it came from an auto truck, a 360 pcm, and 2 extra injector connectors to wire into the existing v6 harness

The 360 crank may not be bushed for the standard tranny. Check this before you get it all buttoned up. The shaft will not clearance itself, it must be drilled and bushed. You may get lucky and have one that's already drilled and all you need is the bushing.

The majority of them are allready tapped for the pilot bearing. All of the later 3.9's and 5.2's I have seen are, I assume all of the mag 360's are as well. Doesnt hurt to check though
