I am interested in getting a supercharger installed in my 01 rt cc. I have a airaid intake and a flowmaster system along with DJM suspension and I want to know if it is a good idea to bolt a system like that to my truck. I want the power but not loose reliabilty on my truck. I have 36,000 on the truck but not had any problems. I want any kind of feedback. I don't wnat a piece of sh!t ford fan putting in his 1 cent. Thanx MOPAR fans. DODGE BABY!

If I could sound off, IT should be fine, but as a rule of thumb, the higher your mods/performance, the more you're going to have to do as far as maintanence goes....are those the only mods you have? you might want to consider the M1 intake, and a bigger throttle body, along with the super charger. The R/T Exhaust is huge, so it can handle whatever airflow you decide to shove through it.
more often, your gains will be more substantial the more you optimize a "Total System" of performance, meaning that the more you plan, the more you interweave parts, the better it'll run, and last longer too. A supercharger is good, to all all the time boost in performance, but 'eventually' it might lead to piston ring seating problems, if you don't RELIGIOUSLY watch your oil changes. I've heard that better boost gains are possible with Nitrous, but that requires more planning in your buildup, or you might pop a head gasketor blow piston sealing capability if you overuse the NOS.

Another thing to consider is the cost of a professional install of a super charger.... you want it tuned in, Right?

Check out www.KRCPerformance.com they have tons of useful info on this topic, if you can't find what you're looking for there, you may try to give em a call, if you're ready to order, they're really helpful, and have built a few badassed Dak's there too.

I was a parts salesman, sold many superchargers and nos systems, so I have a bit of background in this..

oh yeah, not to get pissy with you, but I am a (recovering) Ford fan... I have a 01 R/T and a 1965 Mustang...new fords suck, I like the 60's models... I built my 65 from the ground up, ITS whats going to pay for my Dakota's engine reconstruction.

my R/T mods include K&N FIPK (ithink this is similar to your airraid)w/ a 9inch conical filter S bolt replaced stock filter cap on TB, flowmaster 40 series turndown, Autolite 3923 sparkplugs, Accel brass cap and rotor, IAT relocation, TPS adjusted to .7V, 180 degree thermostat, Auxilliary Trans cooler package, removed Thermatic Fan. Looking into M1 intake and 52mm TB next..... I'm staging myself up to either a supercharger, or the Shaker Ramair hood & NOS, haven't decided if I want the look, or the 5k bill for a ATI procharger.
