If I am spouting off parts, for instance, or looking through a catalogue, wouldn't I name a comp or crane cam? I have an engle cam, not used by the mass car market. My motor was built by Corners Quickly, Winnipeg Canada, If you wanna know what it cost, it was 7500 canadian plus taxes. Yes it is streetable, it gets 17mpg with a turbo 350 tranny, and 28" tall cooper cobra 275/60/15 street tires, on directional american racing rims. I started out with a 305, put 40000km on it than decided I wanted alot more power so had this engine made. I have blown up a 700R4 and TCS torque converter, than replaced with a th350 with cheap converter, that converter lasted 4 days before blowing a bearing, since than I spent 650 on a 3400 vigilante converter made by precision industries.

A 3400 stall is streetable, but not practical
ive got a 400small block with a smaller cam(234/234 .488"/.488"), and less compresion(10.25-1) than numbnuts, i to have a 650dp, Good Heads with 1.5 roller rockers, TH350 w/hughes 3500 stall, backed by 4.10 gears(not 3.73s). i get about 10mpg if i drive good, 7-8mpg if i dont

What size tires are on the back of that thing, mine are 28". and correction, the fuel mileage was when I had a 670 street avenger. Your probably right my mileage now, although I have not checked is probably 13 or so.

Those rear tires are 26.7" and with 4.10's that is why your mileage is far worse than mine is. If I had that combo, 4.10's and 26.7" tires, I would be turning an extra 500 rpm on the highway which explains the crappy gas mileage. The fact that my truck only weighs 2950 lbs and Yours is around 3500lbs also explains it. I put 500lbs of weight in the box the other day to try and get it to hook with street tires and carrying an extra 500lbs definately slows you down.
If I sold my truck, The vehicle I would get would be that same ride you have.And yes I believe you have it, I don't know how to post pics, and I only have old pics with the 305 in it right now. My truck is now covered with a foot of snow from this bs snow storm we are having right now.
