Subject: Kenne Bell, reliable?

Message:
I am seriously looking at buying a Kenne Bell for my 4.7L. I really like the steady torque curves. Unfortunately, I can only find bad reviews about it. Such as the fuel management and idle stability of the vehicle after installation, are poor.

Can an owner of a Kenne Bell unit on a 4.7L verify these claims???

I had a problem with my MAP sensor but it was just a matter of vacumm lines. I have had no problems with mine since(1 1/2 years). I would recommend the kit. I'm loving it!!! 2000 4.7 auto. I would suggest a water/alcohol injection if you want to run more than 6lbs of boost, and a good set of tires:)..........

rgathright: I have a Kenne Bell S/C on my 2002 cc 5.9. I like it but I only have about 5000 miles on it. As for reliability I haven't had any problems, but it has set off one of my emissions fault codes :P overall I am really satisfied, I love the knock alert system. Though my 5.9 already had enough torque, I wouldn't rag on anyone that got a centrifugal S/C for a little more HP. I think one of the centtrifugal manufactuers makes a kit with a aftercooler.

KBJeep: Keene Bell stop manufactuering their water/alcohol injection supposedly due to vehicle damage reasons. Though I emailed Matt Snow at snowperformance.com and he said they have not seen the same problems that Kenne Bell did. Also, Kenne Bell does sell 1, 2, and 3 lb. pulley upgrades to increase boost it is about 100 with the pulley removal tool.

Hope that helps...
