Just looking for opinions on how this set-up might sound on my 2002 SLT Plus 4.7 45RFE...

After the cat, install a 2.5" glasspack, then install Dynomax Magnum UltraFlow oval welder muffler (17219).Using stock pipe, just sectioning and installing the mufflers.

What do you think?
Opinions?

Hey dude
Id skip the glasspack. A Dynomax or Flowmaster would give it killer sound.

I used the magnaflow on the stock pipe setup. That works great for the 4.7

The glasspak (installed before the dynomax) would prolly just cut down on the resonance and droning in the cab.
It shouldn’t affect the sound too much.

Thanks!

I will probably get the muffler in a week or two.

the idea of the glasspak was not to change the sound but to stop the interior resonance as DaffyDak suggested, does anyone know if this will truly work?

Don't use glasspacks. They sound like crap and are restrictive compared to a turbo style muffler. A Dynomax or Flowmaster system is better.

Not going to use JUST glasspacks, I am going to install the glasspack before the muffler to stop any interior resonance. I think that should work.

What I am wondering is if anyone can confirm this idea?

How's this? Don't use glasspacks in any way, shape,or form? If you don't use an extremely loud muffler then there shouldn't be a noise problem in the cab. Putting a glass pack in the system will just reduce efficiency.
