 Subject: programable pcm's???

I just swapped a 5.2L for a 5.9L in a 97 dak. thing is i need a pcm that will run this 5.9L to its potential. the stock computer will run it, but not properly.i have searched all over the web and can't find a pcm for this swap. they never made a 97 with a 5.9L. so does anyone know where to find a pcm for this or even a programable one, or even some advice on how to compensate for the bigger motor?

did you ever think maybe they never made a 97 dak with a 5.9L. Pcm needs to be compatible with my bcm,and please if anyone is going to respond please have a clue as to what you're saying! and yes i have done extensive research as to what, if any , stock pcm's could do the job and none are a match.There is alot more to it than just plugging in a 5.9L pcm out of a doner ride. Just to let you know I am an A.S.E. master certified tech, so i do know a little about this sort of thing.

Don't know, but look at this ? If the injectors are the same size in both motors, could you try bigger injectors in the 5.9 ? Just a guess.

found the pcm i needed ,plugged it in and all is well.Perfect 13.7 air fuel mix, and this truck screams!!! Only thing is that it set me back $500,but with performance like this, its well worth every penny.

Did you find a Marty special or B&G? Just curious on where you found one. I'm planning on getting mine flashed for all my mods. The stocker and MP pcm just won't cut it and need the tweaking.

does anybody make a pcm module that i can self tune like my motorcylces? plug into the pc or laptop and change stuff around, then dl back into the truck.
