I originally bought the full catback system from jegs with the ultraflo muffler. That was probably the biggest waste of money Ive spent on my truck. Not only was I unhappy with the muffler, but all the system really contained was a 3" tail pipe. So it was basically $240 for new pipe and a muffler, not to mention the install. I then bought super turbo for $45, and had my muffler shop run a 2.5" from the cat, then with a 2.5" tail pipe. That was $60 to have installed, with the new mandrel bent pipe. Its much more economical to get the muffler, then let a shop make a new tail pipe. My v6 lost WAY too much backpressure from the 3" pipe, and I doubt it would help a v8 much either unless its carrying a lot of modifications. The high end I gained was nice, but not having torque in the lower RPM is a problem. I just say its better to get a muffler and let a shop finish the job themselves. Much cheaper, and you have some say in how long the tail pipe is, where it exits, what tip you use, etc.

yay going back to the 2 1/2" intermediate pipe and a 2 1/2 in
and single out dynomax did the trick for me today
got my low end back and much quieter than the 3" and my
blowmaster
just waiting on the g tech pro now

Have you ordered the g tech pro, or are you saving to get one? Im pretty curious about what kind of numbers our trucks can produce. Be sure to post the results!
