I just saw this at www.snowperformance.net. It looks like a great product, but has anyone used somethimg like this? How does it work in the real world?

Its for use with superchargers or turbos. It is an intercooler pretty much. Allows you to run more boost with out detonation. Not sure why you would want it on a stock motor. Assuming you are N/A,

On the Contrary, I've seen these kits sold for naturally aspirated engines for around $200. With proper use and setup, they can yield about 5-10% increase in gas mileage. This is wholly dependant on where you live and climate conditions during the use of it. Providing a slight amound of mist to your intake in a otherwise dry enviroment can drastically increase the effectiveness of detonation. This in turn cause more power per gas/air mix. It doesn't hurt the engine in any way, sorta like driving around on a extremely muggy night. The misting also reduces the air temperature in the intake. I was just talking about this topic with some engineers around my shop, and we're going to mock up a kit for my truck and do some tests for mileage. We're also going to try it on a 5.3 chevy. For 200 bucks this is something that will pay for itself within a year if you use it properly.

Our resident local tuner recommends alcohol injection with KB supercharger so they can run more timing and get more HP. Other wise they are seeing only about 80HP gains with that supercharger on the Dodges. Alcohol allows increases to about 110 - 120HP on the dyno.

Water injected my 80, 300 six ford because it pinged so bad. It was a unit made by edelbroc that monitored vacuum. It worked great!
