Subject: 3" PA Lift pictures

Message:

Sorry to start a new thread, but the other 3" lift threads were already too long!!

I keep hearing about pictures of the PA 3" body lift install, but have yet to find any. I'm thinking of going with this combo on my '99 4x4 CC 5.2L... I called a local shop and they want about $650 for the lift AND to install, however they are backed up for a month or so, i dont wanna wait or spend that much cash...

If anyone has any pictures of the install, i would GREATLY appreciate either a link or just drop them in my email...

Thanx!!

Very nice! Its even in my color.. hehehe...
Ordered my kit from Summit today. Can't wait to start wrenching.. I'll probably start it NEXT wednesday (beginning of my weekend), gives me time to choose wheels and tires..

Cant believe you started after 4pm outside armed with a scissors jack!

Anyone else have pics?

I will be sure to take some with my digital camera as well.

Thanx
Dr V

the PA kit is the way to go. i just installed one on my 2000 qc last week and was impressed by the quality. there were some steps that i modified and some i didn't need to do.
1. when raising the front bumper its easier to first mount the side kit brackets to the bumper instead of the frame.
2. my t-case linkage had enough adjustability so there was no need to lengthen it.
3. the lower fan shroud would not come out w/o major disassembly, i was able to trim it on the truck with a sawzall.
4. my bottom radiator hose required no mods at all
it only took 10.5 hrs to install working by myself in the driveway. hope this helps. btw 33's fit on the stock wheels with no rubbing anywhere

Sounds great! I ordered my PA 3" kit from Summit and am planning to install next wednesday/thursday. I know I'm going to have a few snags myself, as I have a K&N tube that needs the bracket cut, and a heavy duty headlight wiring harness that will need moved. Now I just need to find some wheels and tires. Probably going to get BFG ATs 33x11.5's on 2001 stock wheels, I think it looks pretty sharp on the silver Daks these guys have, should look good on my Red one! Good to hear the 33's dont run for you, did you get 11.5s or 12.5s? and what wheel are you running?

Thanxs for the tips!

the tires i'm running are 33x12.50x15 goodyear ats's on the stock 2000 15x8 rims. so far i'm very pleased with the tires, they aren't a great mud tire but they work great everywhere else.
