Hawkeye...I've been looking to run the flowmaster single in, dual out off my V6. Any suggestions on who to order from? What kind of set-up, as in pipe and muffler size, do you think I should run? Also, just want to say that I wish I would have found this site alot earlier. It has been a blessing to find a site just for dakota lovers. Thanks.

Give Flowmaster a call, they can tell you where the nearest dealer is to you. Maybe someone on the boards knows a good online place. Flowmaster can also tell you which muffler is the best performance gain for your truck, depending on the sound you want. I would go with a 40 or 50 series Delta Flow. Going dual out, I would keep the exit pipe size about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch pipes.

thanks for the info hawkeye. Hey, by the way, do you know what the deal is for the dakota convention? I live 4 hours north of St. Louis and even though I have just started modififications to my Dak, I'd love to see other set-ups for project ideas and slam a few beers with some fellow dakota nuts.

Another question...I have a manual transmission that sometimes causes my truck to "hop" in first or second if I don't caress the fluck out of the clutch. I have driven manuals all my life and never had this problem. Any mods that might help aleviate this? New gears? I think I have 3:55's in the rear.

I know the cheapest way to get flows is catolog, I used summit, IN fact when I was building my 71 chevy 3 years ago, the summit retail price was cheaper than my parts store's cost.

thanks farmer...I also just wanted to post something about helix throttle body spacer. I bought it before reading the commentary in speedtweaks so I was pretty down about wasting the money. Figure since I bought it I might as well put it on. I wasn't expecting anything from it but after installing it my truck runs suprisingly smoother. My brother didn't even know that I put it in and he even commented on the truck seeming to run better. I'm going to see what the fuel mileage does and post the results later.
