Hey Knobby,

I was wondering what you think of how the Torsion bars are sitting with your new lift. The picture of that red one the bars sit way low and are just kinda out there waiting for a big rock to hit them!

Just remember, you are not going to lift and IFS vehicle without exposing the torsion bars. Nature of the design. They have to remain pretty much in line with the lower a arms.

would be expensive and may not work cuz im not expert but couldnt they make a new lowe a-frame with the angle on the torsion bars a little more towards the top, granted this would throw off the angle on which the torsion would be aplied and you wold prolly end up needing like 3 ton torsion bars

LOL
nm, strike that idea

I'm still confused... Why are we using Torsion bars? why not springs like we used to?

Someone please explain that one to me.

BTW Yes.. I agree with all of you.. I don't like the Torsion bars sitting that low.. but that's the way the kits HAVE to be made. I'm currently working w/ Truckin-Suspensions NEW Manager up there to get me all the correct parts... He just welded up some new drop down brackets for me last Friday and shipped them out. *I just hope these go to the correct address*

Ok here's a update for all of you guys.. Truckin-Suspension will no longer work with me on this.. Ian just hung up on me saying they want the lift back from me.

I do NOT! recommend working with them at all on anything. Unless you SEE not talk to but SEE there product installed on someone else’s truck and you want the exact same product.

They paid Michael Briant the $500 for the install.... Which if I remember correctly wasn't done correctly or finished for that matter. He left when he cut off the wrong brackets in the rear.

Truckin-Suspension also sent me Black Powercoated Nerf Bars which.. the powder coat is falling off of. The actual bars look good and feel good but the powder coat sucks. I also didn't order Black bars.. I wanted Raw.

Truckin-Suspension will not help me find another installer and they won't pay or help pay to move my truck to a install shop. They also won't pay that install shop or work with them to fix this problem. They got there $1300 and are now running.

If anyone has any questions or comments about this.. please post.. I'd love to hear them... Yes.. even the "I told you so".. just because I want to see EVERYONES comments.

Post over here...
