After putting so much work (and so many $$$ into it), it's done - and now, like an idiot, I'm ready for another project.

It came loaded (everything except leather and towing) and I’ve added BFG 33” ATs, Tuff Country 5.5” Lift, Mopar Grill Guard/Running Boards/Bed Rails/Light Bar, Magnum R/T Performance Package (Ceramikromed the headers), M-1 intake, Flowmetrics 52mm TB, CarSound cat, Black Magic fan, MSD A6, K&N FIPK II, and so on.

I’ve been here - I just haven’t had much to say.

Looking back on it, I think would have slapped on a Powerdyne and been done with it. All that crap I bolted on the engine did make it quicker (and have me 2MPG more - all the way to 13.8), but it was way too expensive for what I got back out of it. And I still have a clattering rocker somewhere.

The Tuff Country lift is great. It's been on almost three years now and nothing has bent, snapped, popped, exploded or fallen off. No problems with alignment or steering and my tires are wearing nice and even. I have had a problem with shock bolts snapping off (2 in the past year) and it makes me wonder if the TC shocks are a bit too long...

The Black Magic is a great mod (but put in a 180 T-stat!). This past winter I was totally stoked by how fast I got heat in the morning. And it’s so much quieter! The only thing is that, if it’s raining and pretty cold out, and you’re driving in town, when the radiator gets warm enough to start drying itself off you’ll get lots of steam through the grill until it’s dry. Gets me every time at a stoplight about 2 miles from my office. Freaked my out until I realized what was going on.

All of the appearance stuff in genuine Mopar, and I gotta say it was well worth it. Three years now and it all if still bright and shiny and black. I’ve put grill guards on other trucks before and they always start rusting. BTW, that’s not a skid plate – it’s just a plastic shroud that covers the mounting holes from the license plate bracket.

If we ever get another sunny day in South Bend before I die, I’ll take some pics and send them to you.
