Subject: simple Limited Slip question...
IP: Logged

Message:
I was in some dirt today in 2wd, and I peeled out fast just for fun and to test my truck. Anyway, I looked in the rearview and saw 2 tire tracks that turned over some dirt. Now I do have a Dana Spicer limited slip diff in there, but I thought it doesnt engage until the truck is in 4wd. Is it always engaged and ready for action, regardless of the drive? This is sorta new to a longtime owner!

Pretty sure your limited slip in the rear is independant from your 4 wheel drive system.

4WD has nothing to do with the lsd rear. The lsd rear is always lsd.
