 Subject: Bumper thumpers

I was in the local 4wd shop and noticed a plain looking grill gaurd that man behind the counter called a bumper thumper. He told me I wouldnt be able to get one for my 93 4x4 Dakota, so I was wondering if anyone has one of these on there Dakota with the same body style or same year and how much did it cost?

Thats the one I want for my 2001. I can find out how to install it. Is it a no drill install. I hate to drill into the new machine.

my shop in st louis said the bumper thumper made by smittybilt is NOT available for my year dakota (92)...
could you get the part number of the one he had?

I have the Bumber Thumber on my 2000 also had it on my 98. No holes I had to drill on either Dak, just remove some bolts and use the ones provided with the B/T. Haven't seen a 01 front bumper setup yet.

Unfortunately Im not that advanced in the pics for the computer department yet. Lots of pics of the truck and all, dont have the equipment to scan them, or a digital camera. Fairly easy though to install. If you got a question, i might be able to help you out.

Well, how does it mount up. Does it have the tabs on it to bolt it to the bumper.
I dont want ANY drilling on my new truck.
