Anyone out there have the 2wd lift that Aim Ind. sells? Been thinking about it, but know of no one who has it installed on their rig. Anyone out there know of anyone who has it?

Yeah you say you found a 2wd lift, where did you find that at? cause I'm looking for the same thing, the V8 is so heavy my front springs are saggy and my tires sometimes bottom out in the wheel wells. Thanks

For your info, AIM ships with ball joints, cuz i sure got mine included. I purchased the 3 inch lift and it's niiiicceee. Although the rear was only 1.5 inches of lift, i just bought 2 inch rear shackles to raise the rear 2 inches. Now the beast is leveled. And from my own experience, the newer shocks kick ass compared to the stock, very stiff and smooth. I'm going 3 inch body soon, with 33's.

Chaximus, whats up man. I have been trying to find someone with this lift now for a while. What your specs on you truck? I have a 1990 GenI but it is all the same stuff. Which AIM lift did you purchase and how do you like it? Did you install? Lastly, what tires do you run? Thanks for the info. have a nice Sat. weekend

Hey man, i got a 2000 dodge dakota 2wd sport with regular cab and running a v-6 at 175 hp. I purchased the fabtech 3 inch suspension lift. (my aim screen name is Chaximus if you want pix or something, just IM me or contact me at cmh7456@osfmail.rit.edu) Installing was a bit tricky on the passenger side but once you get the first done, the rest is easy. Unforntunately, 3 inches is as high as you can go in the suspension category because the bump stops on the upper-a arms are only 1 inch from the coil spring housing so there isn't much more room to lift it and that limits flexibility too. Unless you go body lifting. I'm running Bridgestone Dueler MT's at 28", pretty small but great in the mud...i'm looking forward to 31 or 33 very soon. I had to purchase 2 inch wheel spacers to fit my stock rims with the suspension lift as well cuz the backspacing is nearly 6 inches on that rim. I'm having a locker for the rear axle installed this wednesday as well. Any other questions, just let me know.

OK, I am confused. Do you run the AIM 3in susp. lift? Or the fabtech? And are you saying you have a spacer on top of that 3in susp lift?

Right now, I have a 2in spacer lift, and a 3in body lift. I want to go with the 3in AIM susp. lift and loose the 2in spacer. Thatd give me another inch plus I dont like the spacer. Not perminate enough for me.

Since you know AIM, are they working on a 3in lift spindle for us Daks? They told me a year and a half ago they would have em for sale By Jan 02. Well, thats gone but now they say they are about to start on them. Whats the deal?
Thanks
Joe E.

I meant i am using 2 inch wheel spacers...to widen my track. They are required if you plan to use your stock rims, or any rim that has 3.75 backspacing or more.....(that's what the instructions said on the fabtech lift).

Oh OK. I get what your saying. How do you like them on the front? Any difference on the ride and turning capability? I looked at them for my front but chickened out. Well, thanx for the info.

I didn't notice any difference with or without the spacers on the front end. I like the wider stance that i have to overcome bigger obstacles that flow under my truck...but other than that, it's just like 15x10 rims...:)
