Subject: ring and pinion for the front end?? IP: Logged
Message: I've a project of building a '02 dakota Q.C. 4x4, and since this truck is gonna be equipped with 33" or 35" tires, we need to change gears in the 4.10-4.56 range. Can this be done, or the frontend is not the dana 35 it used to be? We want to put a locker, too, but if there aren't available, maybe we couldn't build it at all.
(Which is a shame, since we want a turbo kit, too)

Message: There is basically nothing available for the front end of the 2000+ Dakotas. They no longer use the Dana front end and the largest gears are 3.92 I'm also sure *please someone correct me* that there is no sort of locker available for this truck.
