Did dpkerns get his Dak aligned back to specs? When a kit is installed correctly, that differentiates a quality engineered lift from a subpar lift kit IMO. As a plus, the one-piece drop subframe looks solid instead of the three piece's some other manufacturer's put out:)

Alignment is the ONLY concern I have with buying this lift kit, I will be running 33's on 16x10's and don't expect any rubbing but want my truck to align so I don't eat up $800 in new tires. As an example, I have seen mentioned for the 5.5" Tuff Country lift that factory alignment was difficult or impossible after lift installed of course along with the myriad of complaints about parts that needed modification to fit, etc. I don't want those headaches any price for a lift.

Sorry I am rambling on, just waiting for some more info to be fed to the masses I guess.

Still waiting for install instructions too.

Heard anything yet Knobby? We are all waiting on pins an needles for ya!

I honistly don't know what happened w/ dpkerns. And bjlindsey I tried to take chris up on it I was about 30 minutes late on my phone call :(. If only I had called abit earlier all our questions would have been answered and I would have my lift for free. To bad they don't want to test the 4.5" lift also ;-) I'm going to call Ian again later today and check to see what the status is on these lift kits. Also I will check on how adjustable the alignment is.

bjlindsey - Do you really get free gas?

How come nobody's talkin about the 9.5" lift? If you're gonna go for it, why not go all the way?

Also, do all of these kits leave those bars hangin down lie that? (I forget what they were called) Wouldn't this leave them open to hangups when offroading?

MJH,
I was 'planning' to run the 6.5" with 35's. But I can't seem to get a straight answer about whether the tires will rub. I have 15X8's but am still skeptical even if their tech tells me that 35's won't rub. This is because their only test vehicle with the 6.5" lift had 33's with 15X10's. Sounds like they're guessing on whether the 35's will rub on a 15X8. As much as I'd like to take their word for it, I don't want to slap everything together and watch my fender flare and bumper rub off with a dip in the road.

I'm just concerned. Don't want to rush into something that hasn't been fully tested with all possible variables. Well, actually I do want to rush into this lift because I can't wait to get my truck up in the air but am looking for some concrete information first.

GIMME PICTURES...GIMME DOCUMENTS....I WANT SOME INFO!!! AAAAAaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

No one is going for the 9.5" lift because it's to tall. Also the largest gears you can get are 3.92 which will push 35's but w/ the 9.5" lift you should be able to clear more then that. Also I don't want a ladder/elevator just to get into my truck in the morning. + I have to drive 30 minutes to get to work.. and I'd rather get poitive gas milage. But that's just my reasons.

According to 4wheelparts.com, 35s w/ 3.92 puts you about 2450 rpm @ 65 mph w/ no overdrive, which is in the "Highway Driving, Good Fuel Economy" range. I guess it depends on what you do most.

Word is as of right now... I talked to Mike (the guy that's going to install the lift) He has all but one package. And from a brief overview it looks like the only thing I'm missing is my hangers for my rear suspension. But Ian @ Truckin Suspension is supost to have his supervisor call me back to try and explain why this is taking so long. So hopefully we will have some information.

Actually I forgot because I planed it so long ago.. I have to drive down to Houston to get my wisdom teath yanked out. So I'm not going to be able to install it this weekend. So :( I have to wait one more week to get this installed :(. Oh well more time to try & save up some $$ for the tires. I might be able to get this done some time durring the week but we'll just have to wait till I get all the parts. Mike (the installer) is going to take a picture for us tomorrow of all the pieces that we currently have of the lift. I'll upload that to yahoo for everyone to see.
