What year Dak? If it's a GenIII you shouldn't have a problem.

I've got Mickeys on my truck now, but this is my first experience with them. They've been on for a couple of months and have no complaints so far. We'll see how they hold up as far as mileage goes.

Whats the widest tire you can put with no rubbing on stock hight 2001 QC with 16 x 8 rims. I heard that you dont have to change any sensors in the new dodges if you change tire size. I heard the the computer figures everything out with the speedo. True?????????

False. My speedo is off 5 mph at 70. I ordered a gear box from KRC Performance to recalibrate the speedo. I think what you're thinking of, Python, is that if you stick with a tire size that was available on your truck from the factory the dealer can reprogram the computer for that size.

Widest tire? Hmmm ... not sure ... but I ran LT275/70R16's on mine before the Mickey's and they only rubbed on full lock in reverse, and that wasn't bad. That comes out to about a 31x10.50. Prolly could run a shorter tire a bit wider and be alright too.

That was about as clear as mud, huh? lol

I used to have BFG 31 x 10.50 on my Jeep and I loved them so I was thinkin about doin the same here. I think the stock tires on the sport are pretty close to 31 x 10.5. If you go wider than that I think you have to change rims which I dont want to do. SO you think 31 x 10.50 are the biggest? I kind of want the speedo and odo correct ( I dont know why) How do you like the MICKEYS. They look good.

On the 16" wheel? Probably. Unless you wanna trim the bumper or wheel well a bit. So far so good on the Mickeys ... they are loud, but that's just the excuse I'm gonna use to get me a catback system that I can HEAR!! hehehe

Mmmm... Fresh Macadamia Nuts, Coconuts and Shaved Ice... Just a few of my favorite things from your tropical home when I am on vacation or visit my friend in Oahu. Ahhhh... currently 25 degrees outside with frost on the ground and now dreaming of sitting on the beach peacefully staring at the surf and one of the best sunsets on the Island of Kuai... Oh, the question, I tried 32X11.50 using stock rims on my 99 RC 4x4 and it rubbed some on the frame but alot on the fender wells so I took them off, I doubt an aftermarket wheel with positive offset will make much difference that's why I didn't try it, some people crank up their torsion bars to gain extra clearance and that may help but the handling and ride will suffer. 31X11.50 should be fine if M/T makes that size, although the side biters(sidewall tread) on some versions may cause some extra rubbing and with the tire being nearly stock height your speedo will not be off. I like the look of a wider tire too.

I ran 32x11.50 on my 97. They only rubbed a little on the frame when I had the steering wheel cranked hard. That really didn't bother me since I rarely had to crank the wheel. I say go for it. They shouldn't rub too bad.

265/75/15 are just ever so slightly bigger than 31x10.5's. I run the metric tires on my 2000 CC 4by and have no problems. A buddy in town here runs 31x11.5 and they rub most of the time except for straight lines

I have a stock 96 Dakota 4x4 and I was wondering what the biggest tire size was that I could run on it. I was thinking that the 31x10.50 was the biggest I could use.

31x11.5's should fit like a dream on your dak. I ran 33x12.5 baja claws on my dak w/ only a 3" body lift, and it rubbed on frame at full turn, but not bad. As far as baja belted's mileage, I can't really tell ya. I bought a set of 5 baja claws for $250 froma friend of mine. It was a major rip off because they had 25k on them and there was very little "claw" left on some of them. This was because he left them overinflated. With a good pressure you should get 30-35k easy. As long as the sidewalls are still good you won't get stuck with mickey thompsons.
