Does anyone know if 33" tires will fit on a 01 quad 4x4 with a 3" Rancho suspension lift? And can I drop down to 15" rims?

I run 33" tires on a 01 club cab 4x4. I had to trim the fender wells a little to prevent rubbing when I turn hard.

I stayed with 16" wheels. Don't know about the 15". Might have trouble clearing the brake calipers but I don't know for sure.

Rick,
I think it is just the 03 and 04 dak's that will only accept a 16 inch or bigger rim. You can chekc it out, but I think that your dak will allow 15" rims, unless someone upgraded the brake system.

Rick,
Yes you should be able to go down to 15" rims. That's what I have on my truck.

Rick, I have the rancho kit instructions for the RS6560 right in front of me and I quote:... " 16x7 OE wheels can be reinstalled; 15 inch OE wheels will not fit this suspension system"...This is in section L. of the instructions you can find on gorancho.com. It also states:..."This suspension system was developed using the following tire & wheel combination: 265/75 R 16 wheel with 5" of backspaceing."...The issue with the 15" from what 4wheelparts told me was that with the larger "knuckles" in the kit, the 15's will not work. If you look under your truck you will see that the bolt that holds your spindle on to your knuckle is in the back spaceing of your rim (unlike most trucks) and there is only about 1/4" of space between the bolt with the coter pin and the rim (if you have 15' wheels with 51/2" back spaceing which is what the OE 15's have. So if you have the bigger knuckle from the kit, the bolt will hit the rim. Now this is Rancho talking. I not sure if their just covering their ass's or what, but I just purchessed some OE 16" wheels so I could install the kit for my 00 quad Cab.
