I have a 2000 4x4 and am looking to put some 35's on it. Is there anyway of doing this without using a body lift?

Sawzall and lots of it...but you'd hate it and since you'd have to buy gears to turn the 35s at anything but a Geo Metro pace and you would have the turning radius of a schoolbus due to clearance issues maybe 33s would be a better choice....If you still decide to go the w/ 35s and no lift bring it on over. I love hacking away at sheet metal

Hix is right, no way 35s will fit without massive trimming, even then the tires would rub the frame when you turn, and without re-gearing you will have lost all power.35s bad idea all the way around unless you got major bucks to spend on many unseen problems that will arise.

I just got an e-mail from a dude in Hawaii that stuffed 36s on his dak he said he got a seven inch suspension lift and two inch body lift and his tires fit, he sent me pics, i asked him who makes the 7" suspension lift and he hasnt sent me an answer yet but i saw the truck with minor trimming,It wasnt enough clearance for alot of offroading but more than enough for normal use....I was pretty surprised.

The only way 35's or larger would fit is to spend
some big bucks for a Straight Axle Swap in the
front and a custom suspension lift made and change
the gears to at least a 4:10 in the front and
rear. Some guys I was talking with on another
website was preparing to do one and he was
projecting to spend about $5000 on parts and
labor. By doing the SAS you will be avoiding the
use of a "Sawzall" on the body. And don't forget
you will have to lift the rear to match the front
so some more leafs on the rear from something
larger will be needed. And also you will need to
get custom long travel drive shafts made.
Caronlinadriveline.com make them. After all is
said and done you will be able to put 35's on it
and maybe larger like a 38 with better travel,
flex, and definitely get more looks riding down
the road or trail. So good luck with it and
definitely do your homework first before jumping
straight in.
