As soon as I can get the pictures resized, I'll post some.

I installed some off road lights on my 02 QC 4x4 today. I mounted the lights to my yakima roof rack cross bar.

I ran a 6awg wire from the battery to a bussman 6 port fuse panel (30A per blade - blade type fuse). I ran the switch inside the cab to 1 fuse slot for power, the relay for my lights to another. I have 4 slots open which means I can run 2 more sets of lights.

I installed 2x100W lights facing forward. I'm thinking of adding another set (I may add 2x55W so i can run them on road). I am going to add some 2x55W lights facing back for backing up and hooking up trailers at night.

I ran the wiring for the switch into the cab on the passenger side. There is a hole already cut out in the firewall, you just need to remove the rubber plug. I ran the wiring from the lights between the shell and the cab.

I just need to do some clean-up work to cover the wires and make it look all nice and neat.

I added 2 pictures to my cardomain page.

One is showing the lights on the truck and the other is looking at the lights at night. I'm hoping to get a few pictures in the next few days of what the lights look like from the cab. I'm heading up to the smoky mountains for a few days.

Bucket - that is a big reason I went with those lights. I like the look of the black and red. I didn't want chrome metal or silver color that many lights are. I also like the guards.

Also the lights are long range and 100w which is exactly what I wanted.

the price was right and it looks good in my opinion.

Yeah dan i agree, chrome is out,but i tend to lean towards non shiny anyway, and i dont want to pull up at a light and see a truck that looks exactly like mine...that would suck.

Bucket - I agree.

I see a lot of red dakotas, not many quad cabs with matching shells with roof racks. I noticed that a lot of people stare at my truck now that I put the lights on there.

I wish I had the extra cash for the 3" rancho lift. That would be sweet.
