2003 4.7 Quad Cab 4x4. What are the best shocks to buy if I do only occasional off-roading and want a comfortable ride without feeling all the minor bumps or the stock shocks? I've been looking at KYB Monomax, Monroe, Pro Comp, etc. Someone please help me out. Thanks.

I'v been using Rancho RS500's on my '01 QC 4x4 for about 5 years or so. I like them. One of them in the rear is ratteling a little. I'll probably replace them with another set or RS5000's.

I have kyb monomax and I do feel minor bumps. Remember it is a truck and if its a 4x4 your other components are going to be a little stiffer than a normal truck anyways.
I'm happy with them, but they are stiffer than the stockers, which I don't mind.
The offroad performance is great and wouldn't go back to the stockers.
Install went fairly well, except that the shocks didn't come pre-compressed like many do, so you have to get under your truck compress them and then put them install them. Just make sure there in their as tight as possible, otherwise they will squeak really bad.
