Detroit Locker makes a unit for the Chrysler 8.25" rear.

Welding the spider gears is only recommended if the truck is used ONLY off-road. If you try to drive it on the street like that, it'll tear itself apart quickly. The 8.25" just doesn't have the strength to hold up to that.

i love my powertrax no slip traction system
it replaces the spiders as well

1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) Powertrax "traction system", 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars
