 Subject: 06 Dakota lift question

Hi... i have a 06 dakota manual trans, 3.7 L 4WD and looking at getting it lifted...if i dont lift it what would be the largest tires i could put under?? also im not looking for alot of lift would better shocks work?? any help would be great...

Trailmaster makes a 2" leveling kit for the front of your truck. I'm pretty sure that you have coil springs in the front of your truck so the leveling kit would just be coil spacers. with that you would be able to put bigger tires on.

With that wimpy little 6 cyl engine, the largest tires you shoud use are about 29".

I just got the 2.5 inch rough country lift. it's a leveling kit for the front and small blocks for the rear w/ new shocks. It was $150 and worth it. The rear shocks are a lot stiffer than the factories, but I feel that it makes the truck feel more solid over the road.
I have an 06 dakota w/ V6 and it looks good w/ the small lift and larger tires. I got 265/75/16's. It is night and day from the low hanging frame and front bumper.

It's a 2006. It's the ugliest Dakota ever made.
Why would you lift it? To make it more visible?
More visible is definitely something you don't want.
Then more people would see you in it, which would mean that many more people laughing at you.

i have an 07 and an 01 my 07 is twice the truck of the 01 version the truth of the matter is the old generation was inferior truck bad trannys bad suspension set up why do you think there was recalls

Daystar makes a 2" leveling kit for the front that is much better than the trailmaster kit. It will allow you to put on 32's 265/75/16

jack my ride a company in arizona is the only people that i have found that make a lift kit for the 06 dakota. it is a six inch lift
