i have a 98 dak sport 4wd and i am wondering if front tow hooks on 04 and up will fit?

04 doesn't have factory tow hooks. 05 and newer are new body style and have tow hooks.
Here's how I did it. Went to Dodge dealership with tape measure, paper and pencil. Found a new Dakota on the lot (not hard to do - they're not hot sellers), made sketches and wrote down all the measurements, clearances, bolt hole spacing, frame mounting particulars, etc. Then went home and compared with my frame and bumper configuration. If I can do it, so can you.
Nope. You don't get the easy answer. You gotta work for it. It's how you learn.
I'll give you this, though. To get the salesman to let me under a new Dakota, I told him I had some business for the parts department if the measurements came out that I could install these tow hooks on my Dakota. Seems the notion that I was gonna pay the absurdly inflated parts dept prices set well with him and he let me take the measurements.
