looks good, i like how your driver's side fender fits well, mine came tweaked out of shape and i never was able to get it completely straight. Where did you get your spacers from, i have been looking at those also, and have you had any problems with hitting whoops or jumps with them cause i do those often and don't want to have lugs snap off. also i was wondering if you have been able to get any travel out of the front besides the lift, i have a pretty good and simple idea but i was wondering if anyone has done anything else. this is my truck and it would take too long to state what i have into it but i am gathering parts to make my own rear suspension and i now have 3 hella ralleye 4000's on the front bumper. this is it.

i got my spacers from outlaw offroad. I think they were $150 for two 1 1/2". A week after i got them i melted a wheel bearing apart on the freeway and my wheel, rotor, and caliper fell off at 75mph. I rode across the frwy 4 lanes riding on the lower control arm. CRAZY experience...but my wheel bearings where dry. They come as a sealed unit for the dakota that is supposed to last the lifetime of the truck. Mine had been in water and mud and stuff and guess they failed early at around 80k. However, I put them back on and still run them now. I replaced both wheel bearings and plan on doing so again when I replace rotors/brakes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! cuz of my freak 3 wheel near death experience. They have held up great since then. I really like the wider stance and did not want to give it up. The truck handles soooo much better on the dirt and especially on the street. I'm goin to the desert this weekend and have no worries the studs or anything. The spacers bolt on to the existing studs and have studs of there own to bolt the tire to.

good lookin truck! nice to the dakota prerunners out there. I plan on going to the frame like you did on the front bumper. Are those the glassworks bedsides?

And no, i've just got the a-arms and coils(I really like the rancho shocks over the fabtechs). haven't done anything else for travel besides giving it some room with the fenders and body lift. If there is any option under $2500 I'm there :) I'd really be interested in the mods youv'e done. It's really rare to see another dakota prerunner. nice to share some ideas

the bedsides are glassworks unlimited also, that's a crazy story you had there. my mods are:
3inch front fabtech lift, the bumpers as you can see, fiberglass fenders, i have a 5.2L with K&N FIPK2, edelbrock headers, msd 6al box and wires, hypertech programmer, 19# fms injectors, electric fan, transgo shift kit, 4.10 gears, everything convereted to synthetics, high flow cat and dumper super 40 flowmaster, i also have a 50mm throttle body on the way. I am gathering parts right now to build the rear suspension which will be based off of some custom deaver springs, blitzkrieg shackles and fox 2.0 remote res shox, as well as som fox bumpstops and the bedcage will be all D.O.M. probably 2", for the front what i was thinking was getting rid of the fabtech bumpstop and instead boxing the lower control arm and fabbing up a mount on the frame to mount another fox bumpstop at the back of the front suspension cut the coil buckets back slightly so that you can get more downtravel, eliminate the factory rubber bumpstop and use the fox ones instead and eliminating the sway bar and using that mounting position for mounting some limiting straps and then reinforce a spot on the coil buckets and mount the other end there and also use some fox 2.0 rmeote res shox up front. what do you think of that plan, sorta long in description but ya it'd be easier to point it out but if my idea is correct it should be good for about 3 imore inches of downtravel.

Hey Ryan

I have the glassworks front fenders and plan to install the rear bedsides. They claim you can still use your rear tail gate but I noticed you removed yours. Can you still use your tailgate? Also are the rear bedsides any harder to install than the front fenders were? It's funny I have a truck that looks similar to both the trucks on this thread. You drive around thinking you have a one of a kind truck and then you see pics like the ones above and realize quickly that I'm not the only one with the same ideas.

Hey Ryan

Also i forgot to ask. It looks like you filled the void on the underside of the front fenders between the factory inner fender rail to the underside lip of the glassworks fender. What did you use to fill the void? Do you have any other pics you can send me including some side shots?

I know what you mean with seeing other trucks like yours. There are 2 others in my town just like mine that were copied from mine when others saw it and now others are planning on building up prerunner daks from seeing mine and hearing what i tell them i dow with it. The rear bedsides are much harder to do than the front fenders simply because of the number of spotwelds you need to cut, also a bit of advice you will need to heat up the tops of each bedside until it's cherry red hot so that the glue holding it on will come off, i tried a chisle and that didn't work so i ended up using an oxy-acetylene torch and that worked well. you should still be able to use the tailgate, i didn't simply for reasons of my own laziness, i was too tired after doing the front and rear fenders and finnessing everything that i just didn't want to finess anymore. Also i was planning many other things that ended up now happening and i just like the look of no tailgate especially once i have my rear suspension done. to fill the fron fender gaps i used some aluminum that my dad had left laying around after he built his plane, i used clinkos and a lot of finessing. i want to say that it's 16 or 18 gauge aircraft grade aluminum. i actually sorta want to take mine off now just cause i like the look of the void now. Here's some pictured of the process for the front fenders
