Nope.. the axle would grenade if you put one in there.. As far as i know anyways... I've heard many times that they are not strong enough to hold one.

Lincoln locking the 7.25 front diff is a BAD idea! The spider gears, the part you are actually welding, are extremely small and will shatter easily. Trust me been there done that, twice. The second time it grenaded the whole housing after some chunks got caught in between the ring and pinion gear.

its works great
until i broke it, then i was one wheel drive :(
of course, they say you need to do the break in piriod and be nice to it
however, it didnt work too well with a 50 foot break in piriod

anyway, i sent it off to Richmond gear and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked
so, i get the truck back tomorrow

btw, my little brother has the same thing on his 2000 ram 1500, he has beat on his more than i beat on mine and has had no problems as of yet with his

and yeah, if i didnt drive it daily in the winter i would have already welded the front, thats the only thing keeping me from doing it

well, i could pull out the spiders, and jsut weld a straight piece of metal in there :D
