OKAY GUYS SOMEONE GIVE ME A DETAILED DESCRIPTION ON HOW TO MAKE THE BODYLIFT FOR A GEN 2 DAKOTA WITH A V8 WORK! IT'S ONLY A 2" LIFT AND DEPENDING ON WHAT IT IS... I AM PUTTING IT ON THIS WEEK... I'LL POST THE PICS SOON WHEN ITS ON...

NOTE: ALL I AM ASKING IS FOR THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE TO NOT HIT THE FAN... HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITHOUT TAKING OFF THE FAN! I KNOW ITS BEEN DONE BUT I'D LIKE TO KNOW HOW! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

The hose will not be your problem. If you have an auto tranny the lines will potentially be your problem. I "tweeked" mine at the raidiator some 8 years ago...still driving it. If get good and twisted the one on the passenger side's medal fitting touches the fan blades. So far has been nothing more than an audiable nusiance. Maybe you could find some 90 degree elbows to come out the radiator? Good luck.

After replacing my fan clutch last year, getting rid of the mechanical fan was not an option for me. I decided to "cut" out the top wall of the double wall rad support. It took some gentle man handling, but after all was said and done, the rad was technically only raised 1/2". No cutting of the fan shroud was needed either. The rad now sits on the lower wall. You will see where you need to drill, cut, bend and hammer. I feel the extra time was well worth it.
