Ok, anyone four wheel in the San Juan mountains at all? I'm looking for a multi day trip on the trail (2 or 3 day) and will be in a stock Tacoma (leaving my gas guzzlin' dakota at home). Basically, mining roads with a few 4wd sections...nothing too crazy...just looking to get away from civilization for a few days.

thanks

There are hundreds of trails to choose from. I would suggest picking a few towns you want to check out, then link the towns together with different mountain passes.

Engineer Pass, Ophir Pass, Imogene Pass, Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch are only a few but are exciting and all totally doable in your Tacoma

Black Bear Pass and Poughkeepsie Gulch are definately harder but are two classic trails.

Sounds like an awesome trip. Have fun.
