Hey all, I am going to order the Rancho 3" suspension lift for my 97 4x4 dakota. I was wondering if you could crank the lift up any higher then the 3 inches in front? And also if any one has pictures of dakotas with this lift would love to see them. Also i am taking suggestions on what tires/ tire size to get. Thanks in advance

If I remeber right, you can crank the torsion bars some more and gain some. That would throw the alignment off a bit though.

Do the stock shocks work with that 3" lift kit ??

Mine is a '97 4x4 3.9L 5 speed. Lift works great i got it on by now. Ill post pics on here soon. Stock shocks will probobly work but the only way to do it would be to extend them all the way then drop the truck onto them. Prolly not a good idea tho because they would be very easily hyper extended. I ended up cranking the front to 4 inches over stock. I love the lift well worth the money.

K here is the pics some of these pics are from stock and some are after the lift. I still run the stock size 31x10.5 sxt mud terrains. Any questions about install ide be glad to answer. My friend and I did it and we are both 16 years old so its not a very hard install if you have any idea about what your doing.
