Anyone know how well the tuff country 5.5" suspension lift performs on and off the road?

Also, 1 more question, anyone who has installed 4.10 gears to their trucks themselves able to tell me just how hard it was for a 1st timer... Also, if I messed up, what would be my consequences? Break the tranny?

Thx

I wouldn't recommend a first timer jump into swapping gears. It could be extremely time consuming to get it right, but more importantly, a mistake will cost you another set of gears. Another set of gears front and rear is alittle expensive to be playing around with. If you had an experienced person there to help set it up that would be fine. Good luck.

Have the 5.5 tuff country on top of the 3in body... Love the kit, and would totally recommend it. Heres what you gotta do. Buy it from JCWhitney because on most of their catalogs they have a 10 to 15% off discount coupon on the back cover. Ive got pics if your interested...

Also, did you install it yourself? and if so, was it very hard? ive been thinking of installing it myself but this will be the first time ever attempting anything like this.

I had a local shop install it for about 1000 bucks. Alot of cash but well worth it. I am mechanically inclined and ive even taken my motor apart myself but would not even wanna try to install the suspension lift. From what i hear the front IFS is a pain in the ass...
