ive always had street tires on my truck and i am starting to get into hunting and i need new tires so im thinking of getting some reasonably priced mud tires. my truck gets stuck so easy with street tires, ive got stuck in everythign (beach sand, muddy grass, and just mud or sand). im not trying to run my truck through a huge mud hole i just want some tires that will get my 2wd dakota through a little mud and some soft sand.

what size do you recommend? i have no lift.

You can go with some 30x9.50s or 31x10.50s. I have 31x10.50 BFG all-terrains on my 97 2wd. You can see pics here: http:photobucket.com/albums/y224/turtleman85. Look under the "Misc" folder.

Im runnin the 30x9.5 BFG ATs (2in fabtech sys lift) on my 01 2wd v6 air up down to half street pressure and they are a hell of a lot better than stock street tires... still not 4wd but much better

I have a set of Procomp 31/10.5 mud terrains got them on sale last year, buy 3 the forth one is free, and I think they are having the sale again this year. The sale is advertised in the March issue of Four Wheeler. They are a little noisy but they are wearing pretty good so far. I'm getting good deals with my mechanic right now because I keep recommending them to everybodyduring the sale and he gets the business. He's already sold 5 sets and the list keeps getting longer. I got mine at cost, which was 780$ for four 31/10.5 MT's, and thats in Canadian dollars. That's 143$ USD each for 31/10.5 or 136$ USD for 30/9.5, both being 15's .
They have a tread pattern that is similar to the Bfgs, but they are pre-drilled for studs(extra traction for hunting roads).
If you order them you won't be disapointed.
