Subject: spacers for back spacing
IP: Logged

Message:
I have Series 97 steel rock crawler wheels on an 02 quad cab. this was the only wheel i could find with 6 on 4.5 lug pattern with any back spacing, and it aint much. the wheel only comes out 1-2 inches further the stock wheels, and even with 305/70/16s the tire wall is only out about 2-3 inches beyond the wheel well trim. this gives some dent and scratch protection when in deep holes only wide enough to squeeze thru but i still end up tweaking the body when you drop into deep ruts and the body flexes out to the side. two questions. has anybody used spacers to push the wheels out further and if so where did you get them ? if you happen to know of another wheel besides the Series 97 with 6 on 4.5 and a lot of backspacing, please let me know. thanks.
