ok guys, so im puttin 33s on my 02 quad 4.7 4x4 and it has a 3.55 in front. should i definitly put in new gearing (4.10) for the 33s? if so is it a difficult process? and does anyone have a link to buy the 4.10s? also can you overgear like 4.56? would that hurt anything in case later i went to 35s? any help would be great thanks

I would go with the 4.10s, especially if you plan on 35" tires in the future. Bad news is: You HAVE to change both front and rear gears.

Yes, the front and rear gears have to be matched.

If you've never done them before you'll want a professional to install them. If you don’t have the backlash set just right, they'll make noise and possibly tear themselves up. It's not a typical backyard mechanic project because it requires very precise work.

Tex if you go with 35's go with the 456, thats what I was told when I talked to Marty @ KRCPerformance.com he's been racin & buildin Daks since 93'.
