 Subject: tight turn question

almost every tight left turn the right tire feels like it falling into a hole after a revolution,the whole pick-up feels like it drop and lunges forward. its a 98 4x4 55,000. is this the ball joint issue?

Could very well be the upper ball joint.
You may want to call the dealer or do a search online for any recalls that your vehicle may have missed. I believe there was a recall on your year of pickup for upper ball joints.
If nothing else, you need to get it to a reputable garage ASAP! Right now you only experience problems making tight turns (I am assuming at a slow speed, ie. turning into parking spaces). What you don't want to experience is this kind of thing happening at highway speed with others in the vehicle with you!
