I installed a front mount class 3 hitch on the front of my dakota. Then put in one of those recievers with a tow hook welded on it. Instant recovery point.

thanks for the help guys
i found that a harbor frieght 10k hook that matched perfectly. bubba i was going to go that route but 2 things prevented me from doing that. 1) ive seen that it lowers the front breakover angle and therefore would hurt me offroad
2) i am getting a winch bumper soon so i was more looking for a short term solution to get me through my next trailrides till i have the $ for my winch bumper

I am glad you found what your looking for. I installed my front hitch for easy manuvering of my boat at the launch. The hook is just something I put on to get me through winter. When you get the winch bumper post some pics. I would like to see that.
