I know some people use the 9 inch and dana 44 to make their dak a straight axle, but my dilemma is I want to replace things slowly but surely to make it a straight axle with a v8 which I have a 3.9 right now. is the 9 inch from a 77-79 ford the same width as a corporate 9.25 or 8.25?? preciate the answers if I get any. : )

no the 9" iw about 6 inches wider thean the 8.25.
plus it also has a different lug patteren which means you would have to have 2 spares
