I just took the Rancho 3" lift off my 1998 Dakota and wondering if anybody is interested. Can be had for a reasonable price. Not sure how much it's worth, but none of the parts are bent, etc... so it's completely useable.
Make an offer if you're interested.
I'm in Tucson, Arizona.

comes with struts, nuts bolts etc? I thought you had to do some cutting of factory brackets to put on rancho kit? How'd you go back to factory?

Dak01, it comes with all the brackets for the front, lift blocks and u-bolts for the back, and most of the nuts, bolts, and washers. I say "most" because I had to reuse a few of the bolts to put my front axle back on, and a few others had to be cut off because they were frozen. Ace Hardware sells all the replacement Grade 8 nuts and bolts you'd need.

Has all the bolts, nuts, washers, urethane bushings, and links for the rear sway bar. These parts are still in the original package and unused because I don't have the rear sway bar on my truck.

Doesn't include the shocks. The ones that came with the kit are worn-out. I had the lift on my truck for about 50,000 miles. My original instruction book is water-damaged, but the whole thing can be down-loaded and printed-off the Rancho website... I can do that for you if you're interested.

The kit is great, but I'm working on getting a solid axle, eventually, so I decided to take the kit off the truck. All the parts are straight, and I say that with confidence since I've had the alignment checked periodically, and again a few months ago when I got my new tires, and it hasn't ever needed to be re-adjusted.

To answer your question about going back to stock, the only parts that get cut off to install the Rancho kit are the factory droop/bump-stop brackets on the front. When I took the kit out this weekend, I just kind of improvised the some new ones. Since I'm planning on eventually going with a solid front axle, I'm not too concerned about it.

Got any more questions, let me know!

Since I am fairly close to you, please keep in touch with the progress of you solid axle swap. I probably could schedule a weekend trip to help ya out. The more I learn about yours, the easier mine will go. Are you doing it yourself or having a shop do it?

I plan on doing the axle myself. Money's a little tight right now, but my next major purchase is going to be a welder. After I get that, I'm going to fab-up my parts.

I'm in Tucson, AZ right now, but I got word that in Feb-March I'm getting shipped up to Alaska. I'll keep y'all posted when I get the swap going, but it could be a little while.

I just took some pictures of the kit if anybody wants to see. It's laid out on my garage floor, so you can see what's all included. I can email them on request.
