Does anyone out there either know if 31x12.50x15's will fit on a stock 1999 dakota? If so, please reply. I appreciate the help.

I am going through the same process on my 02 RC 2wd 3.9. I have done some research and found that 93-later daks can use a 31x12.5x15 but they do not tell if it is 4x4 or 2x4. I am thinking of using a 30.7 in overall tires size. I can tell you if you have a 4x4 you should have no trouble B/c they sit 3 in higher then a 2x4. But that does mean that the 31 wont fit on a 4x2 some guys have fit them.
Let me know how things work out for ya.

Not the exact answer to your question, but my dakota I just bought last week has 31x9.50R15 and it is a 99. I am unsure about the 12.5 width though

My dak from the factory is a 31 x 10.5 R15. I am going to try and use the stock rims with 33 x 12.5 R15. I have no idea if it will work.

talked to a truck buddy he said tires will fit but backspacing will be screwed meaning they will rub when you turn.

31x10.50 should fit on a 4x4 but not a 4x2 need 3in of lift and new rims to fit the 31x10.50s on a 2wd -- ive got 2in lift and 30x9.50's on my stock rims (2wd) no rubbing and no trimming :)
