Some of the guys in the members area just laugh at these videos. My friend (Coppertop) is sometimes running the camera sitting shotgun. The things that come out of his mouth are hilarious!

Check these out. My colection of my off road romps. Not dial up friendly here...

This one I hit the rev limiter about 10 times while going through some deep water.

This one I was stuck in some mud. Rocked it back and forth to get out then threw mud on the guys watching. :-)

This was last week. We were out looking for new places to ride our ATV's. We wound up romping the piss out of my truck.

Same place, diff video.

Just a aftershot of where I got my truck stuck last weekend. Eventually got it out. After moving some mud with a stick (forgot the shovel).
We were out in the middle of nowhere.

Oh yeah. I'm wanting to go larger on my tires soon. Will 33's rub with a 2 inch suspension lift on a 2003 4WD?
These stock 245 (and almost bald) tires are starting to suck.

HAHA!! Those videos remind me of my wheelin adventures. I'm drivin on trails that I have no idea lead to, drivin faster than hell, and have one of my friends in the passenger seat talkin sh!t the hole time. NICE!!

I say go for the 33s. What kind susp. lift u got, torsion bars? Go to fourxfores website, his truck was once set up with a torsion bar crank and 33s. You can always slap on a 3 inch body if they rub real bad.

Yeah. It's just a 2 inch torsion lift.
I may look into building my own suspension mods for up front. I don't think it would be too hard.
Do you think the 33's would fit with my 2 inch lift??

And the more rescent video where he's saying "...slow the f**k, big a$$ hole..." etc was exactly what you said. We never been there before!!! Just romping the piss out of my truck.

We're going mudding this Sunday. I'll have more videos :-)

I would think they would clear. Might have to get a wheel with different backspacing. Do a search on this site for "torsion bar crank and 33s" or something like that. Go to http://www.caoffroaders.com/ he has pics of his truck stock with 33s. Dont know if he has any info though.

Graphite dak,
How ya doing bud, anyways, 33/12.50 15's will fit. i just put my one the other week. had to do some fenderwell and front bumper trimming, not bad though. i was suprised that i'm not rubbing at all on the frame even at full lock on the street. but on the trail i do, I ditched the shackle reversal and went with a 1 1/2inch add-a-leaf kit in the rear. and torsion bars cranked 1 1/2inch in front. i'll, send you some pictures this week. the vids look good. reminds me of getting stuck in snow. sunk into a 3ft snow drift. hahaha,
MightyQ.

Awesome. Yeah post the pics.

What gears you running with them 33's?
I got 3.55's. Not the best but my 4.7 has plenty of power to still haul a$$ I'm sure. But 4/10's will be better for them. Especially TOWING.

Here's some vids from Sunday. Gawd I beat my truck to death!

Romping thru a wash with my Dak
Flying sideways through the water Dukes Of Hazard style!
My Dak stuck BAD!

Well. that "wash" is what is sometimes the bottom of a lake! The lake is down right now. Where I was stuck was under water 3 to 4 weeks ago.

So I am running around in 2WD so I can haul a$$, go sideways, etc.

I had to keep hitting the wipers as I got water on the windshiled. Each time I come across water that is a foot deep or so it splashes all over. Which is fun as heck.
So this one time I'm hiting the wipers. Another guy comes the opposite direction so I got WAY to far to the right and sunk in some nasty silt kind of soil. And it was all wet underneath. As I stopped so I could see again I threw it in 4WD. Too late. The front tires then sucked down and I was sitting on my body. Again!

I just drove my truck tonight. I realized how damn dirty it still is. The inside has dirt all over. The underneath is dirty all over dropping dirt here and there. And my front disk brake made a horrible sound for most of the drive as rocks grinded in between the rotor and what is supposed to be a dust plate, whatever.

I guess this weekend I'll have to clean the truck up some more. That is. Until someone gets the idea to go out in the mud again!!!

I need to find a CLEAN water crossing like this to clean my truck. But... nothing like this in Phoenix. This was in Northern AZ.

Hey GraphiteDak I live in Fountain Hills AZ, and if your looking for some river crossings, there is some in Rio Verde. Its not all that deep, so you should be able to drive down the river if you wanted to. I go through there every once in a while, but its more to sit and drink around the river, but there is a couple of spots to do some light wheelin there. Let me know of any other trails you hit around here. Im mostly only goin up 4 peaks because I can't find many other good trails around. I only have 2WD so Im kinda screwed really, but there is also some quad trails just outside Fountain Hills if you want to get crazy. You might need a bit more clearance and a better entrance/exit angle capability though. Lifted jeeps are cool through there. Anyway. Sweet videos man. Thanks for sharing them

Don't worry about buying my Dak. It wont be for sale. Not as long as they keep making them as ugly as the 2005's!
And why would I want to start over with mods?
In a few years I will be able to buy more parts when it needs repairs.

scullyways, I live on the WEST VALLEY. 131st AVE and T-Bird. But I work over by you sometimes.
I lived in Payson for years. I drive by the Four Peaks turn off all the time but have never gone up there. I'll have to check it out soon.

Next time you go East on Highway 87 and you are coming up on the Saguaro lake turn check out this turn off on the North side of the highway. There are some miles of smaller hills and stuff where Quads go. I also took my truck there. One of the videos is in that place.

Does your 2WD have LSD? I just found a Auburn brand (if I remember correctly) LSD for about $200
I'm going to get one soon. But probably after I swap gears to what I think will be 4.10's or whenever I make up my mind between them or 4.56's!

Well the last trip was way too hard on my Dak. I agree about that.
I had to replace some of them push in plastic clips on my front plastic wheel well thinger me bob.
The strap pulling me had rubbed on the inside fender and popped them plastic clips right out!

I do get under my truck and check it out after each romp.
Here is what I found tonight...

Them brilliant guys at DC decided to use some sound deadening material under the cab. Too bad it doesn't resist repeated water splashing!!!!
What if I lived where it rained ALOT like Washington???
So here you can see the material, which looks like carpet padding, is laying right on the transmission and drive shaft(s).

Oh well. I've already thought of a good fix.
I think after I clean my truck back up again I'll mellow out on the high speed romps for a while. Especially getting it stuck in the mud where it gets jerked out!.
I need to start trailering out my quads again and riding them bad boys into the sh*t instead.

The romps off road in the mountains are much less strainful. I'm not going break neck speed through water, etc. I'm more less babying it up hills, trails, etc when we go out there.

I don't plan on needing a new truck. The scratches I already got suck as it is, even though they about disappear when washed.
I want to fix my baby up and keep it for a while.
Next mod I think will be my gear swap. Just trying to decide between 4.10's or 4.56's still.
Hmm...

one word of advice from one offroader to another, after every offroading trip that involves any water above the axles, you should check your diff's for water.

That is a good idea.

I did change my diff fluids about a month ago. No milkshake inside so I think I've been safe so far.

I have to admit. After looking around my truck I have been finding some battle scars. I think it's time to baby my truck for a while. I pay dearly as it is with my monthly payments just to have the truck.

Time to start romping my quads in the mud instead. Two of the other guys who go riding (who were out mudding in their trucks) agree. The quads are not as expensive to fix. Or to get un stuck for all that matter!

Yeah. I took it at just being funny. But maybe he was serious. Who knows.

After I get done with my truck in the next couple of years some sucker would be lucky if I were to actually SELL it to him.

I plan on keeping the baby for a few years after I fix it up the way I like it. By then there should be a programmer out, other mods, etc. Why would I then want to go brand new again and wait for stuff to become available?
