Message: Hey, im only 18 and just recently totalled my car... so a v6 will save me a good amount of money for insruance. The 3.9L has about the same power output as a v6 tacoma and more then a frontier so i was wondering how well it did off road? I'm not trying ot get some super crazy never get stuck in mud as high as the truck truck, i just want somthing that i can go out with every once in awhile, and it wont be a complete piece. And also, for mods? is the suspension the same as the v8 version?
Message: The V-6 is a good choice. It is what I have and loaded it up with off road mods. The suspension is the same except for the torsion bars. The V-8 has thicker torsion bars, I added those to my V-6 for all the extra weight I have on mine.
