HI GRAHAM MY ADVICE IS NOT TO INSTALE THE LIFT KIT EXACTLY LIKE THEY SAY IN THE KIT OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE A BIG GAP ON TOP OF YOUR RADIATOR. TO KEEP IT LOOKING ORIGINAL I CUT THE FAN SHROUD IN 2. ON EACH SIDE LOW ENOUGH SOW YOU DONT SEE IT AND TOOK RUBER AND BOLTED IT TO THE SHROUD TO FILL THE HOLE. IT TAKES A LITTLE LONGER BUT THE END RESOULT IS GREAT.
YOU HAVE A 97 4X4 THAT MEANS THET YOUR 4X4 SHIFTER IS ON THE FLOOR. IN THE KIT THEY GIVE YOU JUST A LITTLE PIECE OF ROD THAT YOUR SUPOSED TO LENGTHEN YOUR SHIFTER WHIT
BUT IF YOUR LIKE ME AND DONT FELL LIKE TAKING THE ENTIRE ROD OFF,MARKING IT, THEN CUT IT.THEN WELDING IT. YOU COULD DO LIKE ALOT OF US AND JUST TAKE OFF THE TOP OF THE SHIFTHER AND USE BOLTS AND NUTS TO GET THE SHIFTHER HIGHER.
DONT DO THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME. DONT FORGERT ABOUT YOUR SPARE TIRE. THE BAR THAT CONNECTS FROM THE BACK OF THE BUMPER TO THE SPARE YOU NEED TO TAKE IT OFF BEFORE YOU START LIFTING THE BOX OR IT WILL BEND. GOOD LUCK KEEP ME INFORMED
ps. if you know how i could seend you some pictures. it would be cool if you could tell me
