Subject: tire size with max travel

Message:
I was reading a lot about tires sizes. I want to lift my truck this summer, and I need new tires bad. Im tired of fishtailing down the trails with those crap street tires. My truck is a 2000 2WD 4cyl 5 speed. I hear 30's fit with no lift, 31 with some lift, and 32 with a lot of lift. My question is, when you say these sizes fit with no rubbing, is that JUST turning rubbing, or does that account for MAX suspension travel with full turn? I know my friends Chevy Scottsdale had no rubbing, until he used some up suspension travel and then it rubbed BAD. I CAN'T afford this, because I max my travel frequently off road. Can anyone give me a detailed report on this issue? Im looking to do at least a 1.5" coil spacer (2" lift) and possibly a 3" body lift. Like I said, I need tires, but I don't want to have to hack some metal to avoid rubbing. Thankyou in advance to anyone who can give me a solid answer on this.
James

Does anyone know of anyone who ran 30" tires with a 1.5" coil spacer(2" lift)? I don't know if that is possible with the stock rims. Do you need to change the backspacing of the rim to run those tires?

Do some searches on this site. I have a body lifted 4wd on 33's, but I can't help you with your 2wd. Can any body else help?

Ive looked all around, but noone specifies if at MAX travel, the wheel will hit the fenders. I WILL be maxing the travel frequently on the trails I ride. Thanks for the reply though.
