Well that depends. Is your truck 4x4? What year? if it is a 97-up 4x4, then yes you can I think. I dont know about older models. I have a 97 4x4 ext cab with no lift and 32x11.5 BFG Muds.

Im running 33s on my 2000 dakota 4x4. no lift just little plastic trimming. they are muds but arent as knobby as the swampers. if you crank the t bars up 1- 1 1/2 inches you should fit the swampers but they may still catch plastic but you gotta trim it anyway.

I'm running the 33x13.5x16 Swamper LTBs on my truck on Eagle 102 series wheels. The wheels are 16x8 with 3 5/8" backspacing. I have a 3" PA body lift and about 1.5" on the torsions to level the truck. I had a little rubbing which was fixed with a Dremel tool. If you're careful with the trimming you can barely tell. The only part I had to trim was the front corner. They still rub a little at full lock on the frame(inside of wheel well). You'll get used to turning the wheel a little less and the look is well worth it.

Sorry I don't have a digital camera or scanner. I will tell you that the truck looks awesome. I'm getting looks and compliments on it every time I go out for a ride. I have only one of two lifted Daks in my area and I'm probably only one of 3 trucks running swampers. Be forwarned that these tires are very loud and my last set only lasted about 15,000 miles. There is also a little vibration at 50 MPH which will probably cost me a set of ball joints a little earlier than normal.

JimC, what where your last set of tires, and did you rotate your tires when you were supposed to. i knew they were going to be loud and prolly vibrate some. Also the guy at my nearest tire shop said that TSL's would last around 40,000 miles and i figured that super swampers would all be about the same. One last question, did you have to trim any.

Also to everyone else one of my friends at school said that if i put longer shocks on my truck that it may raise it some, i was wondering if this is true or not.

bad dakota,
Longer shocks will probably not raise the truck any. The only purpose of the shocks is to dampen motion of the truck moving up and down on its springs. You can see this when you bounce a vehicle with your own weight. A bad shock will let the vehicle oscillate, or bounce a lot. A good shock will shorten the oscillations.

Last set of tires were 33x13.5x16 Swamper LTBs also. Before that 31x11.5x16 LTBs on the stock 16x8 rims with only a 1.5" torsion bar crank. This is probably my 5th set of swampers on 2 different trucks. The longest lasting were the TSL radials (approx $50-70 more per tire) at about 28,000. I have a lot of friends running these tires and none has seen 40,000 miles. The LTBs are bia ply tires and are essentially TSLs with a deeper lug (approx 1/4"). But depending on the temps where you're located and how hard you run them they may last a little longer. Be forwarned that being a bias ply the LTBs are more sensitive to air pressure changes and can't be run at high speed (>60) at a lower pressure or they will come apart. My friend found out this the hard way. I ran 65 or so everywhere on my first set and when I took them off I found that the treads were beginning to seperate at about 15,000 miles. They wear away a lot faster on the hot Summer asphalt. Dan is right on about the shocks. I noticed with the first set that I bought that they needed to be rotated more than the average tire to last. I rotate them about every 1000 miles. I did have to trim about 2" at the front of the wheelwells. They are a little more of a hassle but no other Dak in my area looks, sounds or gets the looks in traffic that mine does. Also I've run practically every type of tire out there over the years and no other tire will hang with these in the mud or snow. Traction is outstanding.

hey jimc, i found a website where i can get 33x13.50 LTB's for $495 + mounted and balanced.
is this a good deal or not. I asked a tire store how much they would be and he said that is would be $165 per tire.

Also where i live duing the summer it usually gets around 90-100 degrees at the most, so would the LTB's be good for me.

LTBs would be okay in that heat they'll just wear a little faster in the summer months. The $495 sounds like a very good deal. I shopped around and the best deal I've found was National Tire and Wheel, out of West Virginia. I ordered the tires on Friday and the UPS guy delivered them to my house on Monday, in Maryland. I believe I paid about $127 per tire + about $50 total shipping. Their address if you want to check them out is: www.natltire.com
I've bought 3 sets of tires from these guys and shipping is always very fast and customer service is very good. Sounds like you have already found a pretty good deal though.

good luck getting 40k out of the swampers, mine only lasted 15k and as far as vibration...i was just glad i replaced them with my bfg's. but they do look bad a$$ tho. 50 to 60 mph is the worst when it comes to vibration and noise. before my body lift, my 33 inch tsl's rubbed like hell with just a 3" rancho. but now with a body and tb's cranked, my new bfg's dont rub at all.
