Will,

How do you recommend getting more travel out of the 4X4 IFS? I've got a '98 4X4 and I've been trying to brainstorm ways to make the front suspension better. I currently have the Rancho 3", but that doesn't do anything for travel...just moves the whole suspension assembly down 3".
Thanks!

you can have some a arms and lowers made extended and put in coil overs , put an extension to the spindle and get more travel , the prob with the 4x4 is how do you get longer front axels ??????? and will the cv joints handle the angle of the suspension ????? I sent you some pics kory , you can check out orcmotorsports.com and you will see a dak there with like 16" front travel and the rear is awesome but it's a 2wd , I'm thinking about doing this , 5,000 to build the front ..........

rivermaniac,

Thanks for the pics! Yeah, that's the problem with the 4X4. The CV drives, angles, etc... I know there are long-travel kits out there for the 'Yotas, but they all have longer arms and require longer CV drives.
Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, Steve I guess that's the way it goes with our trucks. You can do pretty much anything you want if you have enough skill and imagination, but more often than not, you need lots of $$ since you've got to go custom to do anything REALLY cool.
Good luck!
