Only problem I have is I find myself making my dads jeep look bad.

Really no problems what so ever.

What year is your truck? If it is prior to the new body style you need to crank the torsion bars up alittle bit. They will fit though, have put them on a 92 with no problem but the truck had the torsion bars cranked up.

Its a 92. Does cranking the torsion bars wear out any of the front end parts?

No it does not wear parts. It will make the truck want to follow the ruts in the highway alittle more than now. After you crank them up make sure and align the truck

My 31's rub a little when the wheel is turned all the way. They are 11.5 wide though, instead of the stock 10.5. I have heard bad things about cranking the torsion bars. I beleive there are a few posts in the past about this. You may want to look into that further before you decide to do that.

I would not tell some one to do something to there truck if it was bad for it or dangerous. It is not bad or harmful in any way to adjust the torsion bars, that is why they put adjustment bolts on them. I am not telling any body to crank them all the way up and bottom them out, there by lifting there truck, over 2 inchs. I do believe that I have alittle knowledge about dodges and any kind of automotive mechanics, since I worked as a dodge mechanic for eight years and an airplane mechanic for 2 years, not only that but I also have one year of automotive schooling and two years of college for aviation.

Matt, I did not mean to insult you. I do not claim to be an expert. It just seems that this has been debated before on this message board, and by mechanics I have spoken to, and the conclusion was the opposite. I, myself, wouldn't do it because I've heard enough cons about doing that. A Dr. shouldn't feel insulted if his patient wants a second opinion. People should make informed decisions, and thats all I'm advising. I didn't mean to offend you.

No insult was taken. I want people to be aware of way I say somthing and were I have gotten my info. As far as the cons to cranking the torion bars up. There is only one. thats you have to have the truck realigned or put up with it darting all over the road do to the caster being out of wack. the torsion bar is just a peice of spring steel that takes the place of the coilspring or leafsprings, and cranking up the torsion bars is just like having your leafspring rearched. The bars are mace to take this and a hole lot more.
