Which would you buy and if you wanted a 4x4. Would you want a less capable offroader even if does offer more cubic feet inside with more power under the hood?

I agree, the new one looks like a minivan in the back end. Even if the new one does have a Hemi, I would have to opt for the old style because the new one is just too damn ugly.

Old body style Durangos look good. The 2004 does not. Even a stock V8 Dakota will run circles around a Hemi Durango! I thought with 330 HP it would run faster than the older ones, but the thing is lethargic and looks like a mini-van with a huge grill. If the new Hemi Dakota is a slow turd like the Durango, we will be the laughing stock of the truck world when we get out-run by Colorados. I think DC sure missed it with the Durango. At least they have a chance to redeem themselves with the new Dakota.
