Subject: Help!! front diff vent hose pissing oil

I was swapping out my t-stat with a 180 yesterday when I noticed a good size film of oil on the top of the passenger side frame rail. Traced the oil up to that black rubber hose with the little eraser size white cap on top next to the radiator cap. I figured out that the hose must be some kind of air pressure vent hose for the front diff????
I've had my 99 dak 4x4 5.2 for about six months now and it's never done this before. It finally snowed here so this week was really the first time that I've had it in 4 wheel for an extended period of time trudging through snow.
Could it just have been the front diff to full when the techs. topped off all the fluids before selling it to me?
If anyone can tell me what the problem is and how to fix it that would be really cool. Thanx for your time!!!!!!!!!(couldn't find a fix by searching here)

The front diff might be full of water. When it heats up it, the oil/water expand and start pumping out. Usually when they top off the fluid, they only fill it to the top whole (unless they are morons). It can fill with water if the seals are bad. I would drain and refill it and see if oil leaks out of the sides.

No, this is a problem on the dakotas, there is a TSB on it, there is a filter or something on the end of the line that gets clogged. call the dealer they will hook you up with whats wrong, its a lot easier then refilling your axle and having the same problem.
