Got a question for you guru's. I'm planning on putting new tires on my 97 Dakota 4x4 (v-6, 5-speed). Question: Will 31x10.50x15 fit easily and secondly are Durango M/T's or XTR's a decent tire to run? We get a crap load of snow and BS weather in the North here. Any help is appreciated.

31's will fit no problem. I haven't used either of those tires, so no help there.

My 97 sport came from the factory with 31's, so you shouldn't have any troubles.

Just had 31" Durango XTR's installed on last week. Fit like a glove, feel every crack in the road and are alot noisier. Just what I needed.
Bring on the snow!

Just baught a set of durango XTR's for my 95 toyota T100 4X4. they are actually made by Cooper so they should be of good quality. They make just a tad more noise than my old BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires but seem to perform better off-road and are alot cheaper.

I would stay away from durango tires... if you are dealing with regular heavy snow, you might try looking at BFGoodrich All Terrains or even the Mud Terrains... I have a set of Goodyear MT/R's on mine.. and i havent gotten stuck in snow/mudd/clay yet... only thing they totally suck at is ice.. but thats any tire

hey those XTR's are the best tire for the price that you can buy. My brother has a set that he has ran for 4 years with no problems they wear real good and get excellent traction

I put on BFG TA KO's 32x11.5 on my stock 00' dakota club cab. Fits snug like a bug with about 1/4" clearance on full radius turn. These tires look awsome!

31s are stock for 4x4 v8 (v6 comes with 30") dak so rubbing not an issue...be sure to realize you will lose some power but it's not that much...I run 33s with the 6 and that sucks!

31's fit no problem and if you want to play with your torsion bars you can fit 32's. Another thing to look at is what size are the tires actually...They may say they're 31" but could be 30". I put 32's on my 00' and had about 1/4" clearance just like billy. Put a 3" BL on and now I have a lot of room...too much almost. I didn't loose enough power to notice.
